Ome Grand Festival 2026
The Ome Grand Festival was held with great fanfare over two sunny days, May 2nd and 3rd. In Takinoue-cho, participants from both within and outside the town, as well as children from the Chigase-cho 1st Elementary and 1st Junior High School district, children from local nurseries, and even people from overseas joined in pulling the festival floats together.
Thank you so much to everyone in Chigase Town, all the related organizations, the parents of the Tekomai dancers, and everyone who participated for your cooperation!
Promoting community collaboration through exchange activities in Takinoue Town!
We will conduct exchange activities to promote collaboration with more people in the community through "festival experiences."
In addition, we will distribute leaflets on "Strengthening Local Disaster Prevention Capabilities" and "Multicultural Coexistence" to raise awareness of local disaster prevention and promote multicultural coexistence.

Origin of the float curtain design in Takinoue Town
(From Mr. Magoichi Morita, April 1975)
The design is based on the "Yata no Kagami," one of the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan.
This mirror was used when Amaterasu Omikami hid in the rock cave, and it is said to have been made using copper from Mount Amakagu .
The stage curtain for Takinoue was commissioned from Kenko Ohno of Ichome, who was a textile designer for Ome .
I think this is the best stage curtain in Ome.
